Charities We Support:

Charity is a primary focus for the Blue Goose.  The Virginia Pond supports many local charities through service and fundraising activities, and has contributed tens of thousands of dollars in recent years.  Below is a list of some of the local charities we support on a regular basis.  To learn more about an individual charity, click on the logo to go to the charity's website!

ASK is a non-profit group that provides support to children with cancer and their families.  The Virginia Pond donates drinks and snacks for the ASK Pediatric Oncology Clinic and supports ASK's annual Fun Walk and 5K.

The USO is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that provides support to U.S. Armed Forces personnel and their families worldwide.  A USO Center was opened at the Richmond Airport in 2010.  The Virginia Pond annually donates funds and snack items during the USO's busy holiday season.
Edmarc Hospice for Children is an organization that provides home healthcare, hospice care and bereavement support to families in the Tidewater area who are dealing with the a child's illness and death.  The Tidewater Puddle does annual service projects for Edmarc, including gardening, painting, etc.

Virginia Victory Games is a one-day sporting event for visually and physically challenged children and adolescents (ages 6-21) who are ineligible to participate in the Special Olympics.  For the past several years, the Virginia Pond has provided funds and volunteers to help with the games.
