Virginia Pond History

The Virginia Pond was initiated in May 1907, one year after the origination of the Blue Goose.  Many years have passed, but the primary goals remain the same:  to build character, provide charity and enjoy fellowship with others in the insurance industry.

The Pond's 100th anniversary was marked by its hosting the Grand Nest's annual International Convention in Williamsburg, Virginia.  Also in 2007, the Richmond based Virginia Pond expanded its membership by sponsoring a Puddle in Tidewater, Virginia.  The Puddle reports to the Virginia Pond but meets independently and is more accessible to Ganders in the Williamsburg/Newport News/Virginia Beach area.
